How to Use SBU Class Find to Find Dual Credit and General Education Courses

If you have taken college dual credit courses in high school, SBU Class Find will allow you to understand how these credits will transfer to SBU. You can also discover what academic and requirement standards there are for specific seated dual credit courses at SBU; we accept certain general education dual credit courses from other regionally accredited institutions, too!

OLIS Courses

OLI courses are month-long online learning experiences designed to complement the instructional efforts of instructors teaching reading and writing in various settings such as composition, professional writing, literature, creative writing, and writing-intensive courses across disciplines; writing center tutors/English teachers in middle/high schools. Facilitated by an OLI scholar, courses provide participants the chance to read/discuss current scholarly ideas within an open community of practice before reflecting on how these ideas might fit into their teaching practices. Flex hybrid and online live formats of these courses are offered; at least one session must occur each week synchronously online live format/week for optimal learning experience.

Dual Credit Courses

High schoolers looking to jump-start their college careers may benefit from taking dual credit courses at Southern New Hampshire University (SBU), which allow them to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously. Classes can be found locally at various high schools and the campus – for more information, contact your guidance counselor at your school. Likewise, specific general education dual credit classes taken at other regionally accredited institutions can also be transferred; please refer to the Course Transfer Equivalency Guide for more information.

This class is business-oriented and emphasizes media production practices. Grading will be on a Pass/Fail basis.
